Sales Manager - Party Plan

Job Description:

Working closely with the owners of the company, your remit will be:

 

  • To create a successful launch and develop a team of party plan consultants for Craft Superstore at Home across the UK.
  • To recruit, train, coach and motivate a self employed sales force towards the successful achievement of agreed sales budget and other performance-related targets

 PRIMARY JOB TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

In the early months of launching the business, to hold a minimum of 2 parties per week and recruit personally.

 

To support the consultants recruited by attending/holding meetings, training sessions and 1-1 coaching

 

To drive leadership development at all levels.

 

To create and implement strategies for increasing consultant numbers and sales

 

To provide weekly analysis of all sales and performance data, reacting effectively to the business needs and providing the MD with updates of performance by way of meetings and reports

 

To communicate areas of opportunity and concern within the field to the MD and other relevant departments, together with appropriate recommendations where necessary

 

To identify and prioritise training needs at all levels and implement relevant training where necessary

 

To work closely with the Creative team to develop party themes and appropriate product training

 

To develop and implement field policies, benefits, recognition and incentive programmes for sales and recruiting

                                   

To participate in meetings involving sales and recruiting strategy, plans, motivation, publications, paperwork, sales forecasting and meeting planning.

 

     To manage sales-related projects such as Regional Meetings, National Sales     Conference, and other sales training and development projects as agreed with the Managing Director

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES

 

  • Minimum of two years management in party plan or similar direct selling company is essential
  • Experience in crafting is not essential but an interest in the concept is required
  • Proven track record in sales, recruitment & promotion
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate, influence and develop a self employed sales force
  • Knowledge of training techniques – how to plan, develop and deliver relevant training material
  • Interpretation of critical business data & KPIs
  • Competitor understanding to keep abreast of the direct sales arena
  • Ability to travel and have overnight stays if required
  • Desire to develop into a senior role as the company grows
