Job Description:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the main focus of the Regional Sales Manager’s role will be to build and lead an existing, but mainly new direct sales business for our client in the South of England (or other regions as specified in time). Recruiting, training and motivating a self-employed sales force towards the successful achievement of agreed sales budget and other performance targets will be the primary responsibilities in this role.

 

Other key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Hold classes and recruit personally from which future consultants and managers will emerge – this will be a MAJOR part of the role in the first couple of years.
  • Support all teams by attending/holding meetings, training sessions and 1-1 coaching, to drive leadership development at all levels
  • Devise and implement strategies for increasing consultant numbers and sales
  • Weekly analysis of all sales and performance data, reacting effectively to the business needs and reporting regularly to the MD
  • Communicating areas of opportunity and concern within the field to the MD and making appropriate recommendations where necessary
  • Identifying and prioritising training needs at all levels and implementing relevant training where necessary
  • Fully participate in monthly sales meetings, exchanging plans and developments to enhance and promote the objectives of the business
  • To help front, arrange and lead national meetings with other regional sales leaders

 

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

 

  • Minimum of two years senior management in party plan or similar direct selling company is essential
  • Proven track record in sales, recruitment & leadership development
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate, influence and develop a self employed sales force
  • Knowledge of training techniques – how to plan, develop and deliver relevant training material
  • Interpretation of critical business data & KPIs
  • Competitor understanding to keep abreast of the direct sales arena
  • Proven ability to drive results
  • Must be able to work effectively as a team member
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to inspire with an appealing personality
