Marketing Analyst (Europe), Switzerland

Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Worldwide Demand Planning and with 2 direct reports, the Marketing Analyst (Europe) will primarily be responsible for managing the forecast activities for Europe’s full price and promotional demand.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities inclue: 

 

·  Manage demand planning activities for our client's European business

 

·  Lead, coach and mentor staff.  Promote a philosophy of continuous improvement.

 

·  Review current sales forecasts.  Identify and communicate trends to the Materials, Global Sourcing and Manufacturing departments.

 

·  On a monthly basis, provide management with sales trend analyses highlighting market, catalogue and product results.  Identify sales patterns, growth trends and implications.

 

·  Work with European financial staff to utilise financial growth trends in forecast projections.  

 

·  Establish forecast accuracy goals and communicate performance monthly.

 

·  Collaborate with the Manager, Worldwide Demand Planning to identify areas for improvement within the forecast and supply chain processes.

 

·  Use state-of-the-art forecasting tools such as statistical models, consumer research and Sales Force input to establish accurate forecasts and trends.

 

·  Stay abreast of industry best practices in sales forecasting and trending. Make changes to forecasting and trending processes, procedures and methods as necessary.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following experience,

knowledge and competencies:

 

Bachelor's degree + 6-8 years of business-related  progressive experience and/or training or equivalent combination

.  Proven experience in leading a Forecasting Department in a direct

   selling, consumer goods or service industry

.  Excellent communication skills - knowledge of foreign languages

   desirable but not essential

.  Strong quantitative skills and ability to research and determine

   pertinent data

.  Strong knowledge of forecasting models and techniques

.  Computer literate

.  APICS or CPM certification desirable but not essential
