James Middlehurst
Started
in direct marketing at Time-Life Books where he became Head of UK
Operations before moving to Magnet plc as Retail Marketing Director, and
then to Allied Irish Banks as UK Head of Marketing. He then returned to
publishing as Managing Director of Britannia Music in 1993, the largest
music and video direct distribution business in Europe. In 1998 he
became Chief Executive of Dorling Kindersley, the global publisher,
where he oversaw a tripling of the company's value before its sale in
2000. More recently, he was Chief Executive of Gladstone plc, a start-up
CRM hardware and software supplier to the health and fitness industry.
James has served as a board director of the DMA and is currently a
non-executive director of the Direct Marketing Authority. |
